It's been starting different lately. Before I would turn the key and cycle the glow plugs then step on the clutch and and turn to start and it would start instantly. Lately I notice the starter would crank a few turns before it starts unless I cycle the glow plugs twice, then it starts instantly like before. Anyone have any ideas?

Is it colder than normal, that would be 3/4 of the difference.
Could also be that it needs some filters and fluids changed and possibly new fuel.
It could even have a bad glow plug in the mix.

I haven't used it much lately, coldest I have started it has been in the 30's a couple of weeks ago. It has fresh fuel and I can put a new filter. I have been thinking something to do with the glow plugs, but I haven't done anything on these kind of systems so I"m looking for info on what components is in the glow plug systems on these machines. Also was thinking that someone else might have had something similar happen who like to share. Is there a web page where I can look up service manuals on this L48?
