I picked up a car window motor to do the same thing. I'm just trying to figure out how to connect the motor to the existing crank on my McKee.

I did this on a old 3 pt blower once, think cheap 3/8" drive socket extension and a socket. little weld and you can still disconnect if need be. Just an idea.

Used the snow blower today. The chute rotator worked perfectly.
This was the maiden voyage for my front mounted snow blower!

What a joy to use.
I'll post some info/pics. (probably should start a new thread)

Thanks for posting up this video! I'm planning on the exact same design for my 72" blower on my L3710 over the next few weeks. I'll post pics of the finished product as well.

The #40 setup looks pretty official. Looks involved with cutting apart the sprocket and disassembling the winch to get the sprocket on there too..

What issues did you face with the cable? Cable seems to be more forgiving and easier to set up...

The biggest issue for me was all the play in the chute. I tried to compensate by using a brake shoe spring inline with the cable, to keep tension on the winch spool. It helped, some. But still slipped too much. Perhaps had I used the pivot mount I built to use the chain drive, it would have worked better with the cable.
