My friend from the GWN came for Easter, and she said she still has much snow in her front yard

New to Kubota, but previously used a larger NH for ~24years. Had a 60" rear mounted Loftness snowblower. Our seasonal snowfall has been dropping over the past couple decades. Lake Effect snowfall, but less frequent and less amounts. Been years since we have had a single storm dump over 3ft . Rains almost every month of the year now. Gotta love ice.

Schizo, unpredictable from year to year weather. Yesterdays rain turned to snow by mid-morning. By sunset it was 50F. Our new normal heavy dumps may reach couple feet. If the snow is light I just run downhill to mailbox pushing snow with the loader and then hit the piled up snow with the back blade. Quicker than the blower if just dealing with lighter and/or shallow snow. Once the driveway gets too narrow from the snowbanks I attach the blower.

Also considering a plow blade, studding all four tires. Quick attach V blade that run off the 3rd function available? Might consider. Guessing the costs would change my mind to a conventional manual plow blade. No real issue with having to manually flip the angle of the blade.

The usual recommendation here is that an old plow truck will be way more comfortable, warmer, and plow better than a small tractor. You plow with a tractor because you already had the tractor, not because you bought a tractor just for plowing. If you have no other real use for the tractor, then get a plow truck.

If, however, you actually want a tractor, then yeah. The LX is a good machine. L is better buying if you don't need a cab, don't need a mid-PTO, and don't need a lightweight machine to put it on a trailer/drive it on your lawn. If you see a blower in your future (and you're indicating you might), and that blower is a front mount, then the LX is the right machine. If you can live with a rear mount and a mirror, then a bigger tractor is possible (again, an L).
