While servicing a new to me RTV1140, I found a bad U-Joint.
Kubota doesn't sell just the U-Joint. They sell the entire shaft unit.
Has anyone found a U-Joint that fits, available at the auto parts?
I can't image Kubota would spend the time and money to engineer a "Special U-Joint" for this...

I'm doubtful your local auto parts store could help unless it's a "mom and pop" type. You'd probably have better luck at a place which specializes in drive lines for agricultural equipment or trucks. Out west we have Six States doing that work. I don't know where you're at but try a web search.

you have to find a driveline specialist, and if you find one, someone at the shop that KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

There's some shops in this area but 99% of them don't know their butt from a hole in the ground!! ONE guy....and he's older'n the hills, knows his stuff, and is the only one I ever go to. Rest of them are wannabe's and know-it-all's. Hence, typically on little stuff like RTV's and ATV's, I'll take the joint apart and measure the width of the spider, the bearing diameter, and all that....and look it up & order it online myself. Depending on what the person wants, it might be a $5 chinese joint or it might be a $80 Spicer. I do a few of them at the house on some vehicles and it seems like 75% of folks want the cheapest, but there's always a few who actually care about their equipment, so I gotta keep that stuff in mind.

You might want to search the forum as I remember a thread where someone was looking for small u-joint for the mid pto shafts that may be the same size. There was some good reference material in the thread.

The key is to take careful measurements of the cap diameter, lengths and how it is held in place. There are a few u-joint websites that will describe the measurements and one can look for a suitable match. Not every manufacture carries every size, so you might have to check a few different manufactures. Also vaguely remember the cap diameter was metric.

Good luck and post back your solution so others can benefit.

Added in edit....
Maybe check this link: U-Joint

Maybe this? U-Joint e-bay

Pop the cross and measure it or take it to a driveline shop and have then match it.

Thanks everyone!
I found one on (of all places) Amazon.
Supposed to be a "Direct Replacement".
We'll see how it goes and update when it arrives.

Well, I received the U-Joint from The Joint Store on Amazon. (PN. TUS-RTV1)
It measured exactly like the old one. (Caps and Cross)
Installed with no issues.
Only time will tell about quality and ruggedness.

This was not a REAL tough job, but would recommend having some help when re-installing the
Rear Axle Bracket Assembly.
A lot of getting up and down, and moving back and forth from side to side.
Another set of hands would have been great!

Thanks for the replies above.
