Good afternoon all, I am going to look at a new RB84 tomorrow, and wondering if it is worth $550 to add to the implement toolbox? I purchased the BB1266 with my L2501, and also have a B7100. I know it may be too big for the B7100, but will it offer a significant advantage over the box blade for moving snow?

How much snow do you get?

How much driveway are you clearing, and is it paved or stone?

I use my BB sometimes for snow, but they aren't great at it. I have a stone driveway, and sometimes the BB is okay just to clean up and pack down early- and late-winter. My normal weapon is a front-mount snowblower.

A rear blade is the cat's meow for many along with a FEL, or front blade or blower. Never used one, but I've considered getting one myself.

Thank you for the reply, RCW. Current drive is about 80', with another 80 to the back garage. Gravel drive. However, I bought the tractor in anticipation of moving out to 5-15 acres in Nebraska in the next couple of years. Again, gravel drives are common outside of town.

For 80 feet plus another 80 feet back to "back garage," I'm thinking you're a back blade candidate. Again, I've never used one, but considered them myself.

When I say stone driveway, to me that's some type of gravel/crusher-run/stone dust. Some settle-in harder than others, and are less apt to allow the blade to dig in.

Oddly, I have all them due to recent projects and some flooding, etc. :)

Short story long - I wouldn't count on your BB to do the driveway!:D
