Of all things at the worst time.

Saw a leak from the rad cap.
I replaced the cap and now a pin hole leak is visible at the rad.
I'm off to town to buy a solution to plug the hole as a temporary fix.

Are there options other than replacing the rad?

Is the pin hole leak from external damage or is the radiator corroded away, If from external damage I would clean the area around the leak and repair it with solder and pressure test, I would probably do a solder repair on it even if the pin hole was from corrosion then pressure test it to see if the radiator holds.

Corrosion appears to be the culprit.
I'm running a can of Bars Leaks thru it as we speak.
Seems to have stopped the leak.
I will try and soder it as well.
Thanks for the advise.

Problem solved however temporary it may be.

So angry when it happened.
I just bought a tilller and today is the maiden voyage.
Managed to make a few passes and the tiller is ALL business.

Darn leak kept me from playing with my new toy.

I hate to hear that you couldn't play with your toy. I have a similar situation. I went through 3 tractor purchases before I found the tractor that I want to keep. It is an L1501. The radiator leak that I have is on an L175. It seems to be small. I will try your remedy and let you know how it worked. I'm sorry that I am not of much help. But, if your experience helps me I will share it with the community. BTW, my nearly new Landpride 48" tiller has a loose chain drive and is leaking oil. The oil leak is a minor problem, because it still has plenty of oil to lubricate the chain and sprockets once the oil level reaches the bottom of the seal. I found instructions on how to tighten the chain tension on the web. A quick turn of a couple of wrenches should do the trick. Congrats to you on your new tiller. Trust me, you will love it. Even after running mine for 30 minutes to till my garden and hearing the chain knocking the guard, I am totally in love with my 3 point tiller. I just need to spend about 30 minutes to tighten the chain and all will be good. I plan to take care of the leaky seal later. Good luck to you.

Sure looks original.
It has the patina (fancy word for rust) which makes it appears original.

The Bars Leaks has plugged the pinhole leak.
I managed to run the new tiller for a few hours.
That's a bad a$$ implement!

Please do provide a quote for a new rad.
