I run Power Service Diesel treatment in my Ford Superduty. It boost cetane and adds lubricant needed for injectors. Is anyone running this product or similar product in their tractor? Any reason not to?

I use it, we have always used it at all my work(s) in ALL diesels,
(anti-gel properties) and have had no fuel issues in three winters,
see no need not too, but no expert!

It’s what I use. Silver bottle in summer, white in winter.

This.....

I have been following the above for the last 3 years with my L4600 and all is well to date.

To me cheap insurance and I got the idea from OTT 3 years ago when I purchased my tractor.

Been using it for a dozen years. Never had fuel related issue in my tractors or truck.

Well, I did have one "issue" with my Kubota fuel. Lent tractor to neighbor and he thought he was being "neighborly" when he refilled it with gas.

Use it in all my diesel equipment. Have for years. Never any issues. Cheap insurance. I swear I notice better performance using it in the Chevy.

Biggest thing I've ever seen is mixing it to strong. These engine are very small compared to most diesels and will overheat with to much conditioner.

I think it's pretty cheap "insurance" when you consider what could happen, if you had fuel issues. Certainly not to say adding a product guarantees you won't have fuel issues, but I'm betting it lessons your chances dramatically.

Btw, I use Stanadyne products, just because I like their reputation & history with diesel engines. I think any reputable brand should work as advertised.

I also use Seafoam in all my small gas engines for the same reasons.

Used to run it in my class 8 trucks, diesel pickup and tractor, until I discovered I got better results from Howes.

If you want to see how well the product that you use is rated compared to other products on the market, read this report.
Both power service and Howe's do a poorer job of adding lubricity than just using a dose of 2 stroke oil.

Interesting report. I would think, even tho that was 10 years ago, the results probably wouldn't change much.

Will certainly be switching over to the Opti-Lube, as it appears to be a superior product.

Thanks for posting.

I saw that report. All I know is Howes unstuck two injectors in my 6.0 Powerstroke when nothing else did.

Here's the problem with reports and internet reviews:

My washing machine died so I just bought a cheap one on the spot. Then read the reviews online. Said it was the noisiest worst junk ever.
Started to panic thinking I just blew it. So tried it. It is dead silent and does a better job than the expensive one I had.

Then I bought the highest rated tires for my F350. Were the worst tires I ever ran for traction and wear.

LOL.
