Placement of Oring on Clyinder Headgasket D750 Engine

Dear Friends,

Where does the Oring for the Pipe Pin cylinder head go? Does the oring go above the cylinder head gasket or underneath the cylinder head gasket?

I am replacing, for the first time, the cylinder head gasket on my B7100D-P. Unfortunatel KUBOTA'S parts website, IPB, does not include both cylinder head gasket and Pipe Pin Oring in the same illustration. I am using KUBOTA parts only. I don't want to guess wrong. Maybe Wolfman would know.

Thank you for the reply, the O ring part number is 15221-33700 and it goes around the water pin which is located on the engine block corner next to the firewall and exhaust pipe side of engine block. Respectfully, Mike

It appears the book I have is defective. The parts book says O-Ring and the illustration is an oval piece of steel coverplate for two screws. It doesn't show an O-Ring there at all. The book says #16 is the O-Ring 15221-33700

Dear Steve,

I figured out the problem, I had inverted the cylinder head gasket. Good thing I caught it before reassmbling. Thanks for the help.
