I've got a BX1800 that I am restoring. It all looks great, but the orange plastic on the engine surround is faded. On my BX the grill and sides are plastic, and the organs on this part is in good shape, but is badly faded. I'd love to repaint it. Does anyone have experience doing this with the Kubota rattle can paint? Or, does this require a special paint for plastics?

I don't mean to be that guy that recommends Google or YouTube, but I just searched YouTube for "restoring faded plastic" and got enough results that I won't even bother linking any. A lot of them were for ATVs and cars, so that has to be pretty similar. Could all be BS also, but might be worth your time to check out a few. I would think spray painting plastic is a guaranteed failure in most circumstances.
The hood on my 2350 was pretty rough too, I just ordered a new one from local dealer, if they order it with regular store stock you dont have to pay shipping either. The plastic hoods are not too crazy $.
If you do decided to paint it I would suggest an adhesion promoter for plastics.

Magic spray enamel is good for Orange I and Rustoleum Kubota orange is a dead match for Orange II and both work on plastic,

You probably need to scuff up the plastic really good with some 3M scour pads first, or fine grit sandpaper?
I'd love to try and polish it first, and if that doesn't work then paint it. How would you recommend polishing it? I haven't ever done that.
Curious as well. The fenders on my M9 have turned pink and they are 'all the way through' far as I can ascertain.
This guy is a bit difficult to understand but shows the products he uses. I have a young neighbor who does this often on his 4x4's.
