Had a battery fail, swapped it out and no start. 800 hours and few problems other than hyd leaks. Hard to load a dead tractor on a trailer without a tractor. But took it to the dealer to hopefully warranty replace the ECU and it won't happen again. Made them aware of TSB-2023-035-E-R1 will see what happens. Sure miss my tractor.

It still befuddles me that the simple act of changing a battery can 'brick' the tractor !
I'd love to know HOW the dealer installs batteries !!!! I'm assuming tractors aren't shipped with them in, if so, then HOW does the factory install ??
This is a SERIOUS request, seeing how many posts about 'dead battery, new battery, bricked tractor' there are here !

Crazy stuff!
My 2014 MB E-350 (gas) has TWO batteries!
One in engine compartment, and a smaller one in trunk.
To change either, I have connected a temp battery, BEFORE removing OEM for replacement.
Apparently, if not doing this,..... I am told, that it is a tow to the MB "stealer" , for their $$$$ new battery, and to have everything reset.

re: #27..
The sequence or order of how cables are installed is a SAFETY issue, nothing to do 'electrically'.
You remove the ground first, so that when you go to remove the +ve and the wrench slips and contact the frame, sparks and arcs don't appear, scare you, and you then need to find 4 more bandaids.....

Picked up my tractor today, all it cost was the fuel to drive it there and back. Runs fine now. Really missed having it. I am lucky, my tractor is seven and half years old and the warrnty was extended to 8 years. I have to give a plus to the dealer, Dans Tractor in Battle Ground Wa. They have always done the best for me on my tractors.
