When I was out mowing I saw a new neighbor down the road mowing with a zero turn. I briefly stopped to watch as he twirled around and zipped back and forth. i thought, "why in the world would he get a mower like that for a half acre property?"

Then I pressed the hydro pedal on my 42HP cabbed, air conditioned 42HP tractor with a 7-1/2' RFM and went back to mowing my 3-1/2 acres:) Struck me how I can look at things so differently.

heck, when I got the acre next door Ihad friend haul his tractor down and chop up the grass to become a veggie garden.
I've never understood why anyone wants to cut ACRES of grass, EVERY week, ALL summer long. probably made close to 50K off the veggie patch in 20 years......

I understand completely.

You obviously realized both you and the neighbor both bought too small! 😂

mowing grass is like pushing a rock up a hill. It does not matter how far or how long, you have pushed the rock, as soon as you stop, it starts rolling down the hill, and all your work is gone. If you stop mowing, the grass just keeps growing and all your hard work is gone.

Since I bought my SCAG ZT 3 years ago, I feel like I bought a Disney World unlimited ride ticket.
An 82 yr. old can be easily amused!

Fried1765, I had to look it up because I wasn’t sure I remembered correctly what a skag was:

scag
noun
  • a promiscuous female.

I was impressed by the unlimited ride ticket aspect of your purchase! I figured it was natural for that aspect of our life to gradually slow down as we get older! Good for you!

But I am not sure about the ZT suffix. Guess I will have to do another search. I can only imagine that has something to do with even better than standard riding! I can only imagine.

Thinking about it, I think I will just let things be as they are. My imagination is vivid and I don’t want to be disappointed if reality differs….

It is a delightful little 48" zero turn, powered by a 21HP Kawasaki.
"She" is a fun ride, yet is a bit rough on me sometimes. ;)

Price is now $1500 more than I paid 3 years ago.
