gaining engin oil, HELP

HI all, i seem to be losing hydraulic oil and gaining engin oil in my l4310 hstc. What would be causing this? Any help would be very much appreciated.

You've struck oil!!!
Oh wait, you've blown a hydraulic pump seal.

Wolfman, Okay where is the seal and what mega job has to be done to repair this.

Sorry slow on posting, super easy repair, 2 bolts a couple fittings, pull pump, remove one clip and seal and reverse.

Now why did it blow the seal, betting stiff cold fluid.
What fluid are you currently using in the tractor, if it's cold SUDT 2 is the way to go, yes it's pricey but it flows good at low temps.

Wolfman im using sudt2 oil? Where is this pump? I can't seem to find any diagrams showing where it is located on the tractor?

Right side just behind injection pump.

Thanks wolfman, i'll go look at my tractor tomorrow in the daylight. Is this pump about the same size as the injector pump? Also when i install the pump is there anything i have to do like prime it or just hook up and good to go?

Larger than the injection pump.
Yep just install and go, self priming.

wolfman, am i going to have to drain the hydraulic oil before removing the pump?

Nope no need to drain, the pump is above the sump (reservoir) so you should only have minor loss from the pump and lines.
