Hello all, my name is Loney. I have a G5200 mower and am looking at a 2wd B6000 one of my employees is selling. Another local fella has a 4wd B6000 front end listed on Ebay. Would it even be possible to add the 4x4 ft axle to a 2wd unit?

You must really be bored!

A B6000 is a gray market tractor with some age on it, so it's a project finding parts. You can't go to Kubota Corp. and get a parts list. The PTO shaft rotates the opposite of most tractors so hooking up common PTO powered equipment isn't an option without a "reverser". They're difficult to find, and when you do it's $800 or more.

I think to put a 4x4 front end under the tractor isn't a problem, but you will probably need a different transmission to hook up power. I'm not positive....but I'd find one and look at it,.

Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable will give you the definitive answer.

Not bored just enjoy restoring things. As far as the reverser, fortunately a buddy of mine was the lead mechanic on the BigFoot monster truck a for a few years and says he could build something fairly easily. He has a lot of experience with gear boxes, he fabbed the drive system for the BigFoot Fastrax so I think i'm good to go in that area. The little tractor runs great and I just scored it for $300 with a rear blade, mower deck and plow. Even if it stays 2 wheel drive it should be great for getting snow off my driveways this winter
