After destroying the grill of my three-year-old MX4700 by pushing brush onto the burn pile, I finally got around to building a brush guard. Came out nice.

It's detachable so you can still tilt the stock guard to open the hood. 30 inches square, made from 1" square tubing.

Taz is just for fun...:D

Nice build!

It's detachable so you can still tilt the stock guard to open the hood.
However, I looks like it should drop forward to lift the hood. Could you please show where it could hang up?

The stock guard is hinged about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom, so the bottom of the guard would have to swing back, which it can't. Thought it was easier to just make it come off with two pins.

I don't actually look under the hood that often anyway. Dipstick comes out with the hood down.

I also don't like to drill into or weld onto any stock parts; that's just me....
