A friend called and asked if I could help get his camper in place with the tractor due to close quarters with trees. Camper is 34ft and approx 9K LBS. Probably pushing 800lbs tongue weight. I told him I didn't think so due to the weight. But after watching a few videos on youtube I rethinking my decision. So does anyone have experience.

What kind of hitch? 2-5/16 ball or something else, and is it even compatible with your present drawbar setup?

I've had trouble getting a hitch on the tractor that will take that size ball. The holes in my bars are too small for the shank.

Bucket on your unit, no way but the 3 point with a ball mount or the drawbar with a ball, should be no issue. I haul my loaded tri axle gooseneck with my tractors in the field all the time. I use a 3 point hay spear with a ball welded to the top. My tri axle loaded is around 35K. I know it's there but it's doable.

My neighbor moves his large camper with his 3ph quite often with his JD 1025R with no problems. Borrowed my 3ph attachment with a 2" ball to test it first then went and purchased his own. His camper is at least that long. Not sure of the weight.

Like other guys said, 3PH might work.

800# tongue weight might be a problem.

Check your 3PH lift capacity, and also make sure you have weight out front, either a FEL (maybe with some weight in the bucket), front weights, etc.

Otherwise, your grill might be pointing to the sky!

Let us know if it works!

Yep had to buy a trailer mover. When I fabricated my current one I welded a 2" and 1 7/8" balls on it. I have been wanting a standard one with a receiver so I bought one today. 3PT is rated to about 1500 I think. Planned on putting an oak log in bucket. I called him back today and offered to go ahead and help.
