I've decided I need a middle buster plow, partly for digging potatoes, but I'll also use it for furrows for spring planting. I've spent several hours searching and can't seem to figure it out if the plows I'm looking at will fit.

TSC near me has one, and have some in stock - https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/countyline-middle-buster?cm_vc=-10005

There is also a King Kutter (regular size) in stock near me as well http://www.kingkutter.com/store-product.aspx?id=3339

I was looking at the King Kutter XB, but the 6" working depth seams ridiculous, and no stores near me carry them (or will even order me one ).

The other option I'm looking at is the Heavy Hitch https://heavyhitch.com/product/ripper-sub-soiler-potato-plow-middle-buster/. It is the most expensive option but I'm also pretty sure it will fit, and it happens they are not too far from me.

Does anyone have experence with any of these on a BX2370 or other BX 70 series? Any opinions on the various options.

Thanks!

Ulrich - pretty sure I have the TSC model you linked for my BX2360.

I take the potato blade off often, and replace it with a homemade point to make it a short subsoiler.

Works good with both the potato plow blade and subsoiler point. .

I remember a couple guys here having issues with longer potato plows or subsoilers on the BX's. Not enough height or travel on the 3PH.

I have the Heavy Hitch and single shank ripper/subsoiler.

It's more expensive, but the uses I've found for the Heavy Hitch make it well worth it to me. Add suitcase weights as needed, move the trailer around, purge rocks from the ground... The possibilities are endless.
