My M9000 accelerator hand lever has ~2-3 inches of free travel, before any increase in RPMs/acceleration. This is ~40%-50% of the full range of lever before it responds. Dealer advised that the adjustment should be made where the cable connects to the lever (and not the pedal side). From the schematic I'm not sure how that much adjustment can be made from that single location (or both for that matter). Any advice would be appreciated.

Mine has free travel but it opens fully. I've never looked at the handle for adjustment, it can be adjusted at the injector pump. I say that, mine has adjustment there.

Does the handle throttle open yours fully or not?

I'm not sure if it opens fully and was wondering that myself. What is the best way to check? You are right, it can also be adjusted at the governor/injector pump also.

How high does it rev with the hand throttle?

Can you get above pto speed on the tach?

I think it should go around 2600 - 2700 WOT.

Another way to check it is rev to WOT with hand and then use the foot pedal to see if you get more rpm's.

I wanted to close the loop on this issue. Nothing was loose or disconnected. Not sure if the interior cable has been some stretching over time, but adjusted just below the accelerator lever and everything is good. Thanks for all the help.
