Alternator was bad so I replaced it and also replaced battery.tractor still not charging .any ideas where to look ? Also is there suppose to be a light on dash when not charging?if the battery is charged it holds charge and doesn't drain just sitting.Battery goes dead when using tractor.

There should be a smaller wire or wires that attach to the alternator. Make sure you are getting voltage to them. Usually if a new altenator isn't charging thats the cause. If you can get the wiring diagram it should list which of the other wires going to it is the exciter wire 
check your fuses, it might be a blown fuse, and may have a diode by the altenator that is blown as well.
