I cannot seem to find this part--I believe its called a position control lever stop knob. The manual makes no mention of it--but probably wouldn't and I am assuming there was one on here at some point. My wife has recently began using the finish mower and bush hog for big fields and she could really use it.

Does anyone know a universal one that would fit my tractor?

Messicks shows everything in stock, but maybe your local dealer will have it too, less then $10 for the 4 pieces. Could probably make something pretty easily though with a bolt and a couple nuts and washers???

On mine it is a carriage bolt installed from the bottom with a lock washer and wing-nut on top.

Thanks guys. I may try to make something. From the photo above it looks like a tiny thumb screw. Love to find something like this posted in 2001.

I was looking for the same bottom nut for the position lever stop thumbscrew on my B2601. I finally emailed my dealer for a parts search. The part number is not the parts diagram for the position control lever (operations). But it is listed under Hood/Bonnet - M20900 Lever Guide RH. Could be the same for other tractor parts diagrams.
