I need to replace the existing hydraulic top link as it is a frig from a cement mixer; it's a clevis type that is too long for the Countyline 6 foot blade and 5 foot drag box.
I need some advice on suitable top link cylinders. Some special ones claiming to have check valves to stop cylinder movement when not commanded are available. Agrisupply has cylinders with a special check valve for top links:

My question: is this an important feature or is a standard double 3/4" tube type cylinder at half the price adequate for the job?
The same question applies to a hydraulic side lift; they have special ones, but will a standard clevis cylinder work adequately?
Alternately, do you have any advice regarding hydraulic vs one of the hand crank side levers such as this (first item on page):

I don't enjoy using the existing manual screw leveler, and the range of adjustment is such that without a hassle moving the fixed opposing lifter, I can only tilt the right side up.
Private dirt road maintenance is the major activity for this machine.
