Hello, new guy here and pretty much new to Kubotas. My brother has an early 80s L235DT (per the ID plate) and I'm trying to help him replace a water pump. My question is this: In looking at various parts suppliers, I see a lot of listings for parts for the "L235", but almost nothing that specifically says "L235DT." Is there any difference? Does "DT" just stand for "diesel tractor?" The water pump shown for an L235 looks to be correct.

Thanks in advance.

Go to www.kubota.com and search the illustrated parts pages. Once you get to the search screen, type in L235 and it will bring up the models for that tractor. Select on yours. It will give you the parts breakdown for your tractor, with current part numbers.

I think there wouldn't be a difference on water pump, alternator or starter.

DT stands for Dual Traction aka 4wd ;)

Welcome to the OTT forum.

The reason parts do not list the DT means that it will fit all L235 tractors.

Your water pump should fit just right!
