Can the hydraulic pump on my L225DT with a 3.7 GPM flow rate be swapped out for a higher flow pump with the same hydraulic pressure from a larger tractor like the L245DT, L295DT and so on that would bolt right into place? The cycle rate is dreadfully slow:(

Thanks

Can't help with swap compatibility. But when my pump failed (1979 L245DT).
I found out that there was a "update" kit that increased flow rates.
Hopefully Vic will chime in here.

in the meantime search my posts on hydraulic pumps

Hmmmm id like to know more about whether or not such an "update" kit exists. Although $296 for a re-manufactured unit is pretty decent on its own. I have an L245DT and im pretty sure that it also has a flow of 3.7 gpm. Just curious about this value as it was my understanding that the 1200 series FEL that was used on these tractors had its own pump. Why was that exactly? Is the on board hydraulic pump not sufficient to run a small FEL? And was the auxiliary pump of equal value, or smaller?

The Model 1200 loader utilized the tractors hydraulic pump. Relief pressure was set to 1600 lbs, lift capacity 800lbs and a flow rate of 3.7gpm.

The optional, external hydraulic pump drive kits were available for the BF900, K490, K790, K795, K830 and K890 loaders.

These kits chimed out anywhere from 12.5-21.0 gpm. Oh ya, that'll speed your loader up!

The update refered to was a running production change made to the hydraulic pump at the time of tractor manufacture, that kicked up the gpm. TSB#10-81 refrences this and although it was specific to the L-245, the pump was shared between the two.

3.7gpm should be plenty of flow to provide good loader operation. Make sure your tractors hydraulic filter/screen is clean, the hoses don't leak, there are no leaks at the contrrol valve, and that the hydraulic oil is clean and fresh.

If that fails to produce a satisfactory result, then replace the pump.
Awesome. Thanks for the info. Ill subscribe to this thread so I don't have to go looking for it in the future.

Thanks again

Yep, it will work.

OE Kubota part # 35110-76100, we've got them in stock $475.15 plus shipping.

Also have remanufactured units, priced at $296.50.
I have an L245DT with a model 1200 loader. the pump is fine but the pump shaft has been damaged. the keyway failed and the pump shaft has a large gash along the side. how can I get it attached back to the coupler link? If I need a new pump how can i fine one?

how difficult is it to change out a pump? Special tools required?
faster action sounds like something i could enjoy.

Re: L2350DT Hydraulic Pump Question

i have the same question about my tractor. i have a LA2350DT with about 7.1 gal/min. i would like to get over 10 gpm but i am having a hard time finding a pump that will match up the input shaft. mine has a small gear type pattern not a key. any ideas? dav38spl@hotmail.com
