L225 hood CUSHION alternative

I need to replace the Hood cushion on my L225 restoration. Its the long u channel strip going around the hood where it rest on the dash. Is anyone using something else other than the factory cushion, part number H3410-18130?? Kubota wants almost $60. I'm sure something else can be used.

You might find a clip on version of that material at an auto parts store.

Your local auto parts store probably has an assortment of different densities of foam used on PU bed for setting toppers on. Buy a roll for a few dollars, just peel off the tape and apply.

Read on here a long time ago that someone used car door weatherstrip. You may want to visit a local junkyard and ask if they have something that would work.
