Looking for hydraulic cylinders for the front blade. Pulled mine apart and the inside of the cylinder is bad! Wanted to just replace the seals but no luck. Anyone have a good cylinder they want to get rid of please let me know.

I can't believe you, Eric. Everyone knows it is a front blade assembly.
Oh, who am I kidding? I had to look it up.

Have you checked Northern Hydraulics, Tractor Supply, or a tractor dealership? I'm sure that it is a common cylinder.
And, Welcome to OTT!

By the way, I feel pretty good about myself. It isn't often that a person has a chance to beat Eric at an answer.

I did actually go to Google and went to an image search and typed in KUFD 110 and it brought up Japanese pornography magazines, so I kinda figured that was NOT what he was trying to put a hydraulic cylinder on.... OR maybe it is I don't know!

Oh you're fine you didn't start anything! Sometimes its helpful for the rest of us to know exactly what it is your dealing with so we can point you in the right direction without any confusion.

Sorry- as Eric said, you didn't start anything. Just some good, old fashioned ribbing. As a matter of fact, you seldom to never find people getting bent out of shape here. Eric is usually the one with good, in-depth info, so it is an accomplishment to beat him to the punch.

Hodge & Eric, I am sure glad you guys are friends!!

Subiccs, I have the same Kubota blade you have as well as the Kubota B219 FEL. When I got the FEL, all of the cylinder rams were pitted with some leakage around the seals. I looked into aftermarket replacement cylinders, but none would give me the fit I wanted. My local Kubota dealer recommended a hydraulic shop that they used to rebuild there cylinders. The shop did a professional job of rebuilding the cylinders with new rams and new seals for less than the parts from Kubota. I think it was around $120/cylinder.

I say all of this to say I would at least check with a hydraulic shop on what they would suggest for cylinders on your blade. They may have a solution for salvaging your current cylinders. When you say "the inside of the cylinder is bad", is the bore pitted or just the rams? I have never seen a pitted bore.

As you can tell by my comments, I like to stay with the original cylinders until I have no other choices.

Send us pictures if you can,
John

Go to Surplus Center and look in the single acting hyd cyl section. They have two versions of cyls that are commonly used on most snowplows made. one should work for your needs. I'm beginning to rebuild my blade and will use those if I need to replace them.

Took the cylinder into the local shop. Waiting for them to get back to me. The bore of the cylinder is where the damage is the rams them selves looked good. Looks like something was in there and just dug into the bore. May also be what caused the pump to go bad. Got this tractor from my Dad not long after he baught it. No record of maintenance. When I got it first thing I did was change all fluids and filters. Air filter was packed full of crap surprised it ran! My hopes are they can repair the cylinder have to pull the other two and see what shape they are in.

Thanks for your inputs!
