If they are empty, they weigh around 300lbs. I want to do this in the spring. I need to do some siding, and the tank is in the way. I was going to use up almost all the oil. My 30hp b7800 should lift this ok shouldn't it? I was thinking of using two lifting slings. I think my tractor can lift 700lbs. Thanks.

Yes, the weight wouldn't be a problem; the size might be. Do you plan to lift with your 3PH? If you want to move it with a front attachment (loader; forks), your visibility will be seriously impaired.

If you have a Kubota LA402 loader it has about a 900 pound capacity.

Maybe that is why your back is causing you grief at this point in life TJ? Lol

I speak from experience as I have my arm in a sling because I had my rotator cuff repaired because of some of the stupid "stuff" I did in my life.

If its a typical 275 gallon home heating oil tank, when empty I can nearly sling over one shoulder. Ive cut dozens in half to remove them from basements with Bilco doors that are too steep to fit through without removing stairs. two choker straps should work fine. if theres some liquid left. Good time to inspect tank internals as well.
