Hydraulic leak on new Kubota BX23S

So....... I bought a brand new Kubota BX23S and with 12 hours on the tractor, I noticed hydraulic oil on the backhoe lines.

The dealer sent a service tech out to the house and he tightened the lines on the backhoe.....but then.... I noticed hydraulic fluid dripping from the rear of the tractor between the rear tires.

Service tech came back to the house and found some type of ring is out of place, causing the leak, so they are picking up the tractor to repair.

Should I not be asking for a replacement? One would expect a brand new tractor with only 12 hours to not have a hydraulic leak. Who knows what issues may arise in the future.

Any input,opinions or advice?

This subject has been kicked all around over the years.

You won't get a replacement tractor for minor issues.

Basically, this is why you have a warranty.

When the leaks are fixed you probably won't have any other issues for years.

They are assembled by humans and humans sometimes make mistakes or overlook things. Even Wolfman...lol

That don't warrant a new tractor by a long shot. Let the deal repair it and move on.

Hopefully it is just something minor and it can be fixed in short order. Kudos to you for being attentive and noticing the leaks early. Check the fluid when you get the machine back to be sure any losses were replaced by the dealer. If they weren’t you know what you have to work with.

idigmykubota - When I received my B2650 with FEL and BH I had to tighten a few fittings as well on the BH and the FEL.
