Hello everyone. I'm not an expert on repairing things, but I don't mind taking them apart, and those things kind of build on one another.

So I had a valve stuck on my front loader, a Koyker 155, and I replaced that whole assembly/joystick yesterday. However, after I get everything hooked back up and replaced what I figured was the amount of hydraulic oil that dripped everywhere, I get no movement anywhere from any of my systems. The loader or the 3 point on the back.

I don't know enough about hydraulic systems to really go beyond making sure I don't have any leaks, which I can't figure that I do, and opening the top plug of my hydraulic pump to see if there's oil in there. There is.

Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting? I'm kind of stumped.

Thanks

You have three hoses connecting the loader valve to the tractor. Odds are you have them connected incorrectly. Lets start with a picture of the new valve showing where those hoses are connected to the valve

that picture is huge.

Ok, so I connected everything in the exact same manner as the previous valves were connected. I numbered all the hoses and took a picture so I wouldn't put things in the wrong spot.

The ones that matter are those numbered 1,2, and 7. Which one goes to the pump? Where on the tractor do 1 and 2 go?

Second #1, #2 and #7 need to be swapped.

Would need to know exact model name/ number of valve and where #1 #2, #7 comes from or goes to.

that's my pump from the top.

I did disconnect the quick connects from underneath the tractor when swapping this out, but only one at a time so as to not get confused. However, I didn't label anything down there and it's entirely possible I messed things up.

hooking them up like the old valve only works if the two valvesxare identical make and model.

1 is power beyond
7 is tank return
The unnumbered one at the bottom right of the picture is pump

Where do they go to on the tractor?

1 and 7 shouid not be teed together. I cant imagine that ever worked. You have one too many hoses connected to that ourlet block.

Ok. I haven't disconnected anything from the block, so I'm guessing that one of these three disconnects might have gotten swapped?

I've never had any issues with it before the valve got stuck, though I got it used and have only had it for about 6 years, so I don't know what's been done to it before I go it.

Are the two hoses teed together at the block or is that an illusion? The block only has two ports - one is pump out and the other is power beyond return from the loader. Tank return (7) must be connected some place else.

That sir, is a close up of those two houses connected.
OK - not teed together. Not sure what that outlet block is doing.. is this an L3000? I did not find anything like that when looking at the L3000 parts diagram.

We need to get a good handle on which ports are which on the outlet block.

I assume all three hoses have disconnects on them?

It is an l3000dt, yes sir.

All three have disconnects. I also cant find any diagram as to what those goes where.

I'm about to start swapping until something works, but not sure what that would do.

all three appear to be in the aluminum block. currently 1 and 7 on one side and 2 on the other.

Playing hydraulic musical chairs is a good way to break things.

Turn the tractor off and unscrew the hose on the bottom right of the picture of your valve. Thats the one on the left side of the valve which is the pump IN port. Put that hose in a bucket and start the tractor. You should IMMEDIATELY get a strong flow of oil out of that hose. IMMEDIATELY turn the tractor off and reconnect the hose. If you did not get that flow the hose is connected to the wrong port on the outlet block.

OK - heres the port layout. The aluminum block is sandwiched up against the power steering flow divider and there are three ports in it. One is pump out, one is power beyond return, and the third is tank return. We need to determine which is pump out. It needs to go to 2 on the loader valve.
