The manual for the MX5100/4700 HST shows 4 drains for the hydraulic/trans fluid. It appears as though the forward most drain in the picture corresponds with an allen head plug, rather large allen head, instead of a typical hex head bolt plug.

Does anyone know for sure if this is indeed a hyrdraulic drain and is it necessary to remove to get all the fluid out? Thought maybe "they" changed the plug because it isn't necessary to remove anymore for some reason. Just a thought. Manuals have been known to update slower than machinery.

Thanks

3 or 4 drains is common for the trans/hyd system. Not sure what I was working on but something I drained had a allen type head drain plug. I don't remember it being on a tractor but I could be wrong.

It does seem crazy to have 4 drains but to fully drain everything all of them have to come out.
