Fitting the equipment to the task. Kinda like the difference between using a 1/2 ton pick up truck with a gas engine and 3/4 ton pick up truck with a turbo diesel to haul a travel trailer. The 1/2 ton can do it at the top end of its capabilities while the 3/4 ton will do it with room to spare in capability.

I inherited a 2006 Ram 2500 4x4 quad cab long box with 5.9 Cummins turbo diesel with 88K miles from my late brother, the thing is a beast. Miss my brother, love the truck...lol His spirit rides with me for sure n for certain.

I have the same truck in a 2007 model. Best truck I’ve ever owned.

I have cruise control on my L2501 - it was around a $220 option.

You might be able to get the dealership to deliver the tractor at no or low cost.

Go for the "lean- to" ASAP!
The grapple /third function will likely cost way more (it is worth it), but protecting Kubotas from the elements is most important....... unless you like faded paint.
Luckily, the Kubota is my inside cat - lol - it goes in the shop. Currently, I have to fold the ROPS down but, I may install a horizontal “door” above the double doors to make it easier to go in and out. The lean-to would be for those those items that I’d prefer not to be in the rain! All good...leaning towards the lean-to.

My 06 Cummins, Quad cab, short box with the g56 -six speed, is still my daily driver.

Love that truck.

Any plastics or rubber parts on the machine don’t fare well with continuous sun. The UV rays are especially destructive at the 6,000’ elevation that Cheyenne is located at.

Well, I am one step closer to becoming a Kubota tractor owner. Looked on Wickhamtractor .com they have a new L2501HST with loader installed and R14 tires in Fort Morgan Colorado Its running $27920. Spoke to a salesman in Greeley Colorado he said he needed to verify that the bucket was quick attach and have an answer by Monday. I asked about adding a BB1266 box blade he said that it would be an additional $955. He said discount for cash would be $800. Confirmed there would be no sales tax as I am a resident of Wyoming. He said it would cost $100 to deliver to Cheyenne. He told me they have a mobile service when it comes to oil changes n such, would run $150. I plan to get together with him next week to take a look at it.

Bob, although I love the thought of screwing the government out of their unconstitutional taxes...If you buy from a dealer they will report it and you MIGHT owe those taxes eventually.

I'm not a tax pro, but I bought a boat from a different state, and I had to pay my states sales taxes...Shitty, but true.

Just a heads up.

Enjoy. That equipment should work out well for you.

if you’re able, changing your own fluids gives you a good opportunity to get familiar with your machine and to maybe catch a concern before it becomes a problem. The pre paid oil change folks will have one thing in mind, speed. It might even get done sorta ok most of the time.

That’s within $20 of the price I paid but, it included the BB1260 box blade and the RCR1860 rotary cutter. No trailer. 2501L, HST, 526LA loader. The bucket is a SSQA. I’m not sure they make anything other kind for the 2501L either.

If you’re paying cash, make sure you check the other rebates that are available:

There’s $2,200 for the NCHA if you’re paying cash. Guess what? It costs nothing to join:

There was also a small rebate for farmers who are veterans. You can join even if you’re not really a farmer or a vet. I can’t find anything about this one on the Kubota site.

There were also rebates on the second and third attachments. The only details are on the finance page though. Ask your dealer and don’t let them tell you that they can’t stack rebates either.

These guys here helped me with my first purchase in June and I had $2000 in rebates. I hope you can save at least that. Yours should be $3000. $800 for paying cash plus $2200 for the NCHA plus possible attachment rebates. Go get ‘em!

How did they find out? Just curious!

AL isn‘t too bad. We only pay 1.5% in taxes on farm machinery including attachments.

My son checked out Cheyenne Kubota they have a LX2610HUSD with HST transmission and R4 tires for $19222, LA535 loader with 54 inch QA bucket with bolt on cutting edge for $5653, BB1266 box blade for $1192 that adds up to $26067, 6% sales tax would be $1564.02 for a subtotal of $27631.02 minus $800 discount for cash and 1st implement plus $75 delivery fee so price out the door would be $26931.02
What I understand R4 tires would need chains in the snow? This tractor comes with mid mount PTO.

I retired from the USAF in 1996. I'll check in to the NCHA discount as well.

Chains help, but I never explicitly needed them in Cheyenne. 4wd and a bit of determination is more than enough.

Is the Land Pride QH15 Quick Hitch considered an implement? What kind of price does Kubota charge for one. Is it a nice accessory to have?

SmilingBob
Some like it, others don’t. I don’t have one but, maybe one day. Or, to confuse you further, Pat’s Quick Hitches are also popular. https://www.patsquickhitches.com/

My priorities have been a disc harrow and a grill guard insert. And a lean-to. Then maybe a grapple and third function. And a landscape rake. I’ve had my neighbor’s for two weeks and need to return it. And forks. Then I‘m good. 😂
