After the dealer said it was ready to go, I asked did he fill up the rear tires. He looked at me like......wooops, and then proceeded to tell me they just havent done that yet go get lunch and they will be filled when you get back. An hour later we get back and I pull up to find one of the mechanics taking the tire out of the back of his pickup. I asked why, they said when they pulled off the tire there compressor was acting up and they did not have enough air pressure to get the tire back on, so they had to take it to a tire shop. My biggest question is tire shops usually dont fill tires with water so my guess is they didnt so now I have one rear tire full and one empty, is there anyone to verify if and how full of water a rear tire has.

Well the easyest way yoou can check is run the tire untill the valve stem is at say 9 o:clock or 3 and push the stem in if you get wet they are fillled,,if not then i would be asking some heavy questions of the dealer

If one tire is heavier then the other then ya know whats going on. I think you should be fine. I'm sure the dealer took your tire to a reputable tire shop that does fill tires. Around my neck of the woods theres plenty of passanger car and light truck tire shops and theres a bunch of heavy truck tire and farm equpiment tire shops beside the dealerships. For me I tend to head there first and stay away from dealers because of the prices.

Some of the tires being filled today are done with methanol. When you go to check the valve stem to see if it leaks I would suggest protective eye wear to say the least. If you don't want to take a chance on letting fluid out set the stem at the 9 or 3 o:clock position and blow some air in with a air chuck. If it has fluid you will hear it bubble when the air goes in.

Obviously straight water will freeze in the winter and is corrosive to metal. You need at least 2 gallons of antifreeze in each tire and 3 would really be better.

I don't think a tractor dealer would put straight water in the tires.

Mine were filled with methanol from the dealer.
