How to Remove D1005 engine Plug / Done

Cannot seam to get plug to let loose on side of engine to install screw in heater . With helper on 5/8" Allen socket will not move with one arm push /one counter holding . Should it be heated or what ?
After reading here someone doing it last week , had to get one too for Christmas .

Heat the plug. When hot, spray the center of the plug with water, I use a spray bottle and just squirt the center a couple times. It'll back right out without damage.

Re: How to Remove D1005 engine Plug / Done

Thanks Lugbolt ! Had the machine out today for short haul . So while it was warm tried again with 18" breaker only and got proper 17mm allen socket . No movement . Then heated the boss and plug edge with hand propane torch , maybe 45seconds . This was all it needed ,as next try loosen with ease . Paint was not even burnt ,and I did not remove antifreeze . So after cool down to relieve pressure did quick change . :)
