Peoria IL,
See the previous post - picked up an 83 L275DT

The clutch is smooth as a babys butt & does not slip.

My uncle (who bought it) is old & his knees are warn out. When he lets the clutch out - it takes so long to engage that he can't raise his knee far enough.

I need to adjust the clutch to engage MUCH lower on the pedal. As it is the clutch engages in the last inch or so of travel & I want to do it somewhere in the middle.

Never worked on a Kubota - but I'm no stranger to a wrench.

How do I do this?

If uncle is that disabled, you could always fab up a different clutch petal. Be careful to not mess up the safety switch setup...:D

And also think about adjusting or changing the seat. Sometimes with knees it is more about the angle of bend than the amount. He might still have trouble lifting his leg high enough to put it on the clutch pedal. Don't ask how I know these things

I'm new to the forum and new to Kubota. Have an L4300DT and the gears are really sticky....mostly 2nd and 3rd. Only 259 hours on the tractor but does not appear that the clutch has ever been adjusted. Anyway you could send me the link on clutch adjustment that your post refers to? Thanks....take all the help I can get!

The link for the WSM I sent him was for an L275, wouldn't do your L4300 much good.
I also don't have the WSM for the L4300, and there is not a free download copy avalible online.
You need P/N 97897-12792
Get it locally or here:
