Folks,

I'm going to be purchasing a grading scraper soon to level out my mile long driveway. My rear blade does a pretty good job of moving material from the outside of the lane to the crown, but leaves the road wavy and bumpy. I think a grading scraper is the right tool to do the job.

Now I need to decide on the GS0560 or GS1560. The main difference is the ability to adjust the blades on the 15 series, but couldn't i do the same by adjusting my side link? It's $300ish more for the 15 series and if folks are getting by fine with the 05 series i'd love to hear it.

I'm pretty sure a 60" wide blade is going to be right sized for my B2710 it is wider than my tracks but would a 72" be any better? Better as in more efficient, my driveway to the hunting shack is one mile of glacial loam, a little clay, mostly gravel and full of grapefruit + sized rocks.

No, adjusting the top link does not do the same thing as adjusting the blades on a land plane.
the top link will need to be set to pull the plane flat on the skis, the adjustable blades determine how much it cuts and rolls.

Considering you have rocks to deal with, I would go with an adjustable blades, as you can change them when they become to dull or damaged from the rocks. ;)

What about using the side link like in my original post?

I just went with the 1560; mostly because of the extra weight. The dealer also said he doesn’t sell the 05 series hardly at all.

This thing is really heavy duty, can’t wait to try it out! Will operate this weekend and report.

Does the blade adjust the cutting angle or the side to side level of the blade?

The top link is used for cutting angle of single blade implement the side link is only for horizontal level or not level.

AZLE TX,
I bought the exact same implement for my 2501 to groom my access road and driveway.

What is you opinion as to how it works?

You said you would report back. Where's the report????

:)
