Gray Market lift problems

I have a Zen-noh, 1802 and started having problems with the lift. My tractor has an electric over hydraulic valve that controls the lift. I am wondering if anyone else has this same set-up and if you've encountered any problems with it. I haven't had much exposure to 12 VDC coils but I would think that they work the same as 120 AC coils. Two wires, ones the ground, the others power. Is this correct?
Does anyone know what it would take to convert over to the conventional valve with the up and down lever? Where I could possibly find the parts to change it over?

I had a old craftsman tractor that had a similar set up. I took the switch assembly to Squires Auto Generator on Heritage St. in Kinston. They were able to track down some parts to put it back together. That was several years ago. Or you can try All pro hydraulics on hwy 11 across from Ayden-Grifton high school.
