Fuel solenoid

I have a short in wiring to fuel solenoid,has anyone wired a switch to control fuel solenoid.

It's not that simple, as you have a 2 wire solenoid one wire is a pull in (White) and one wire is hold (Red/Black).

That Red/Black also feeds the regulator, so no power on it, no power on the regulator, and no charging.

So your popping the 5 amp fuse?
