Front Wheel Drive Lever

I just bought a 2000 L35 with 1500 hrs. on it The lever to engage the front wheel drive just falls down when you pick it up and let go. Looked under and the roll pin is there and the shaft is moving going in to the transmission. Can't find anything on the forum about this problem. If it's broken inside can it be fixed with out splitting the tractor? The front wheels are engaged when I lifted it off the ground with loader and hoe. Any help would be great thanks. New here.

There is not really anything that can be done without splitting it.

Your only hope is the pin sheared and lever is sliding on shaft.

Thanks for the help and posting the pictures. Is there some trick to looking up old posts. When I tried to find anything about this problem and just put L35 in the search nothing would come up?

Thanks for searching for me . I must be doing something wrong that I can't even pull up one thing on a L35 are they so rare or bullet proof no one posts anything that would be great but I think it's more about my searching skills.
