pedal was sticking, I took the damper below the pedal off and now it works. What does that damper do?
Might want to rethink that..... there is a zerk there?;)
what model machine we talking about btw?

Sorry my tractor is a L2501HST
I dont have the answer to your question.....but my land is only about 2 miles from Pequot lakes - closer to Jenkins. I live in Nisswa. Welcome to the forum. I am just taking delivery of a tractor this week. Exciting stuff!

Myne was not returning either. I bought a replacement and then removed the old damper. To my dismay the front bushing of the old damper was frozen to the retaining pin. We needed to use the tractor so I figured I could do what I was doing before and just neutralize it manually. To my surprise the pedal now neutralizes itself.

IMHO the damper is unnecessary.

PS - there is no zerk for the damper.

The damper has been part of the L-series HST linkage since its earliest versions. It prevents hard F-R shifts, softening the hydraulic spike if the pedal is stomped.

Removing the dampener can very well destroy your HST!

The dampener is a delay mechanism, not a centering device.

The circuit for the Hydraulics needs time to balance before a reverse of hydraulic fluid and pressure takes place, taking the dampener out takes away that delay.

You might seriously reconsider putting it back in, before your paying for a 5K plus HST unit. ;)
