Bob,
not trying to make the situation worse or take sides - But at the 21.3K...... IF the dealer plays ball like anyone else, the price should slide about 10% or more.....so let's say ONE could get 10 off, that places the price closer to 19.1K ....and here is where the used tractor loses ANY value of being fairly new......the machine cannot be financed at 0% by the seller.
18K is probably a fair price for your machine, no doubt!
BUT unless someone has the cash laying around, the 19.1K stretched out 48 months at 0% is better. IF SOMEONE had to go to the bank and borrow 18K at 48 months, they are not going to get a rate better than 5% ! UNLESS a home equity line of credit.
and 18K at 5% ====== the same 21.1K at 0% AND for that reason, the owner get a new tractor, two years ......etc!
There aint a damn thing wrong with your machine and the price is fair, but if anybody is out shopping and is doing alllllll the math, they will come to the say conclusions.
I hope you get every pennies worth!! AND good luck, hope you get a quick sale!
