I know it was working when I got the tractor 6 months ago. Garage kept since I've gotten it a 100 hrs ago. Lockout lever doesn't lockout joystick for FEL. It won't move no matter how I fiddle with joystick. Any suggestions or don't worry about it? I'm the only one that uses this Tractor at my place. Currently 340hrs.

You'll get better info with tractor or loader model #'s. I always lower my loader and don't worry about it. Someone else would need key or hot wire knowledge to move it.

If valve stays with loader when removed, may want to fix it.

Mine gets stiff on my open station M9. I just give it a shot of PBlaster and it's good. I use mine when the loader is off as it locks out the joystick.

Exactly.... AND, if one were to read the Operator’s Manual one might see the instructions to Lubricate the FEL every 10 hours of operation AND includes the joystick/valves. WD40 or WD40-GEL or LPS-1 or PB Blaster is all good.

Considering how many owners actually take the time to read the manual, I wonder how many owners have dry pivots on their FEL's. Probably a lot, but I will say that Kubota places a sticker on the FEL uprights instructing you to grease every 10 hours.

It's a plain bushing, steel on steel, so boundary lubrication is essential to it working and not wearing out.

The design of that lockout isn't for smooth operation in the best scenarios. Mine was frozen in place. Took it apart cleaned it up and sprayed it with PB. That lasted about 3 weeks until it started binding again. Tried some grease this time around. I stopped bothering with it as it's not worth the hassle.

I’m not completely certain what it can be legitimately used for anyway. Hydraulic implements should be lowered and depressurized completely when stored. When I used it (improperly, of course) as a man-lift for a welding operation, we didn’t use the lock. Maybe we should have, but we also should not have used it to lift personnel either.

First time I have heard of a FEL lockout. Sounds like it something mechanical.

Can someone explain how it actually works? The only thing my FEL has is a little tab that pivots to hold the control stick so it cannot be moved to the lower position...

Like GeoHorn I have also used my loader to hold a platform to stand on/work off of. Knowing the risks of course, but that is another subject has already been addressed in other threads.
