I have a tg1860g that didnt have an electric mower clutch when i got it. It also has electric power steering that i caint get to work. Im afraid its the control box. Does anyone have parts i need or know where i can get them. thanks Phil
That power steering system is an absolute joke. There is a procedure to follow in the WSM to diagnose it; but if it's the controller or the EPS unit itself, you're better off selling the mower for parts.....that stuff ain't cheap. And it works like absolute crap. I had one (also a G2160) both had EPS. I could not drive a straight line without having to correct continually, especially with the G2160 as it was considerably faster (mowed at 13 mph).
I've had my TG1860G since 1998... still running strong.
my electric power steering quit when the tractor was about 4 years old, at the time dealer wanted over $900 for the control unit.
Been running with out P.S. since, don't miss it at all... turning the steering wheel is easy enough that I can one-hand palm steer it when mowing.
As far as the electric clutch, get it from a Kubota dealer.
