That race has always amazed me. (are those guys aliens, using alien technology in their bikes?)
I've been near that fast on a bike, (150-160mph) but only on a flat, straight, long, controlled environment race track. I cannot imagine going that fast on regular roads, even if I had the equipment (balls) to try it.
I was clocked doing 189mph on a good straight open road in a Olds Cutlass, I couldn't imagine going that fast on a bike on a curvy country road.

Wife and I used to go out street racing pretty much every evening until the cops put too much heat on us. We put the car away and got out our winter beater which was a lot of fun. All of us in the hood that hung out together had old 500.00 dollar winter cars that we didn't care about. You'd be sitting at a red light or easing along when one of the others would run into the back of ya just for a laugh. A great time to grow up, well kinda grew up, good friends, good tunes and the weed wasn't all bad either. Good luck getting away with that now.

Brother Skeets,

When I first heard Mike & The Mechanics and Silent Running in the 80's it gave me chills. Today it still does. The words are prophetic. I hope we all wake up in time.
Maybe a precursor to potential upcoming events. I pray not
