So my neighbor is looking for a new Zero Turn mower and saw the new Kubota diesel zero turns, does anyone have anything to say about them and what about price wise? Looking for around a 48" or so. I have my 2650 and am trying to get him into owning orange. (He currently farms with case IH only)

I think if he only needs a 48 inch deck, he would not need diesel. I could not justify the price difference between the gas and diesel. They are fine machines in either configuration and I love mine.

I would second that opinion. Putting a $5000 engine on a 48" mower when a $700 gas twin would do the same job just doesn't make sense. If you're worried about longevity, he could replace that gas motor 6 times before breaking even on the diesel.
