I have had this problem with my 2650 as well. The machine shut down when I got off the seat during a blizzard. I couldn't get it restarted for 30 minutes while it was getting buried in snow. I finally kicked the HST pedal in both directions and it fired right up. Maybe there is a design flaw here?I need to pull mine in the garage and adjust the neutral position on the hydro pedal.
I've had to nudge the pedal to get it to start several times, plus it has shut it self off when I got off the seat because the pedal wasn't in true neutral.
Fairly simple adjustment, just haven't taken the time.
The position of the switch against the arm must move over time - design flaw perhaps, but a simple design that must need to be tweaked over time.I have had this problem with my 2650 as well. Can you explain this for future in case it happens to me in a blizzard? The position of the switch against the arm must move over time - design flaw perhaps, but a simple design that must need to be tweaked over time.
A nickle zip tie can fix it too!![]()
Are the pivot points you are talking about on the pedal? Would the cab model be any different? I am pretty sure I have put grease in the zert, went around all the grease points in the manual several times. At what hour did you start having an issue?rkidd, thanks for the tip on lubing the linkage.
Crawled under the tractor and greased the zerk plus squirted a little oil on the pivots and all is well.
I didn't think there is a zerk on the HST -- only the brake pedal. I had to lube up the HST pedal by spraying remoil on any linkage I could get to with the straw on the can. Did I miss a grease fitting?rkidd, thanks for the tip on lubing the linkage.

Hey PHPaul. Good to talk to you again. Glad a little lube worked out for you. I have 740 hrs on mine and the couple times I had to play with the HST pedal to get it to return to neutral that is all I have had to do. Never had to adjust anything. As for the other posters questions, I have never found a grease fitting for the HST on mine, but I know Paul has a cabbed version and mine is rops. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. I just lay on the right side of the machine and reach up and move the HST pedal and you can then see all of the pivot points and then hit them.rkidd, thanks for the tip on lubing the linkage.

Okay, thanks, will take a look at it after this storm. Some kind of white stuff falling from the sky. On the cab model there is a zert underneath, page 72 of the owners manual, that is labeled (1) Grease fitting (Speed control pedal), so I assume that is what Paul is talking about. Maybe they figured it out and added it in new machines??Hey PHPaul. Good to talk to you again. Glad a little lube worked out for you.
