Hey all, Blew a hydraulic line on my 2004 BX23 the other day. ( just bought this tractor) It only lost a quart or so. But I didn't see a dip stick in the filler for the fluid. How do to tell how much is in there? Will it damage anything if I guess and over fill a little? Thanks in advance. Russell

Check for a sight glass on the side of the transmission. If no dipstick then likely a sight glass.

Overfilling is not good.

My BX22 has a dipstick to the left side of the fill plug on the left side behind the seat of the tractor. It is easy to over look if you dont know its there.

Thank you very much !! The fill hole is the one in the center up top correct?
Get a long nosed funnel and use the dipstick hole as your fill - works like a charm.

I see in the pic that the fill plug on tjhe BX23 is is located to the right and out where you can get to it. BX22 fill plug is a royal PIA to get to and can be hard to get off because its hard to get your hand on it if it hasn't been removed in a while.

Did you find the dipstick or is it a sight glass?

Your dipstick is located to the left of the 3 point cover, right by the backhoe supply hose. See picture below.
