chains and wratchets

dear folks,
i want to transport my b2920 sub compact tractor safely. using 24 inch chain wratchets, how long should my chain be. 5', 8', 10'???? i just dont know whats normal and whats safest? thank you!

Longer on the chain is better. You can always wrap the slack around the binder to keep the slack contained. Too short and your in a pickle :D:D

Honestly though, your going to have to determine the length of chain you need since everyone's towing set up is unique. :)

I use two 20 foot chains to bind my tractor down.

A longer chain can be used in two locations without having to be cut. Safety wise it would be better to always have more than you need in length. Easy to cut a piece of chain to length, but harder to place back together safely!;)

Make sure you buy chain that is good quality.
