Since I have a 54" cutting deck, looks like I can only go out to 1.5 rear wheel spacers.

No reason to do the fronts either right?

Is going out 1.5 on each side gonna make any difference, making the BX more stable on some inclines? or do you have to go to 2-3" for that

If you went out 1/4" --- you would feel a bit of a difference!!!

1.5" you will feel - I promise ! Doesnt seem like much - but you will feel something different in the seat of your pants as you move around.

you can do the front - several dont like the idea - it places more strain on the steering parts, it too will add some stability too.

I have rears - makes all the difference in the world;)

Can you post a link to the source for these spacers? I would like to get a set for my BX2370 (which is same as BX25 regarding tires).

Thanks.

EDIT: I found another thread on Bro-tek spacers. http://www.bro-tek.com/wheel_spacers/

Caution on spacers. If you have MMM make sure it is a size that will permit spacers.
Good tip.

From Bro-Tek website:
The 1.25 in spacers will work with all known 54" and 60" mowers
» BX Models with RCK54-23BX (54" Deck) must use 1.25" spacers
• 1.5 inch spacers will work with most 54" and all 60" mowers
» BX Models with RCK54P-23BX (54" Deck) can use 1.5" spacers
• 2 inch spacers only work with the 60" deck
• 3 inch spacers will not work with most MMM decks
• All spacers for the Kubota BX series will work with the 48" deck

Hello fellas, first post here. Just got me a BX25D - boyoboy is that thing sweet.

Anyhow, I have been researching spacers as I have a sloping area on my property that I am on quite a bit with a FEL and I get nervous with a bucket full! Having spent the family fortune on the little jewel I just cant swing the prices on spacers -- yet!

What stuck me as really odd in my researching was the drastic difference in prices for tractors as opposed to cars/suvs -- heres a set of 4/FOUR! 1" ers for $50 + $6 shipping! Even at only 1" that is a huge difference from, say, only two 4"ers in the $350+ range for the BX's.

Well those spacers in the link are "used", but generally speaking, the price is going to be lower for items when there is a lot of manufacturer competition. And since there are more cars sold than tractors there are more companies making aftermarket parts/items for the cars, hence the lower prices.

I missed seeing the "used" in that listing, but there are dozens (hundreds?) of other similar listing for new spacers at much lower prices, for example...

I've decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and deplete the bank account a bit more and go for a couple 3" Bro-Teks, like I said, that sloping part of my property makes me nervous!

I went 1.5" and a 2.5" for the 54" MMM ( you can buy them made to measure these days ) and they made a massive difference to stability, cut-quality and roll-over piece of mind too ! Removed the rear castors and ground-off some metal to enable a little deck height latitude . I couldn't raise the deck to lock-position though , with these fitted .

I have two bro tech 1.5 spacers sitting on my desk. I just need a free day to put them on :)

Along with the skid plates

I really don't like the completely inadequate width between the rear tyres of tractors . Even bigger stuff like Kubota B3030 is a few inches narrower than my Hustler Super Z hyperdrive 66" decker . That thing can't overturn for love nor money , but the tractor is a no-no on the slightest slope imho .

Put 3.5" spacers on my L3901. made a world of difference in stability. Spacers aren't cheap but a lot cheaper than turning it bottom side up.
