The battery on this beast has reached the point where it won't hold a charge overnight, so that is a straight forward replacement. Before I put I new one in. I would appreciate a bit of info about the charge circuit so I know if it needs an overhaul at the same time.

1 - I understand this is an unusual generator, but I can't find the thread where this was discussed. Can anyone help?

2 - running at about 1/2 max rpm (no tach on this one) I was only getting about 1.5 amps into the battery. Battery was not fully charged at that point, was just up enough to start the engine. What should the rate of charge be?

Thanks
