when im digging ill scoop/curl the bucket, then pull it in then raise the main boom before rotating, sometimes the main boom will drop, or lift a little then drop before coming out of hole. its always drifted a little, but now sometimes it hesitates before coming up and when up it will drop back. any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. tractor has 180hrs and fluid changed at 150hrs. again its not every time

thanks

Check the linkage, sloppy linkage can cause this. ;)

you'll need a hydraulic pressure gauge. they can be purchased or sourced from parts. You'll have to check operators manual (or kubota specs) to see what pressure you should be at (approx 2000 psi). There are several other threads on this very same issue.

The short story is, you plug in a hydraulic pressure gauge into one of your ports (you can use one from the loader valve) to see what pressure your pump is making. If it's too low, shims can be added to increase the pressure of the relief valve.
