Hello,

This isnt exactly the best forum but I think it fits.

Does anyone have experience with both machines? When I read Kubota's specs these 2 units have pretty similar digging/breakout forces. I have run both machines but the BT603 feels that it has half the power. This do to me not running the hoe properly or low hydraulic pressure?

Any have a similar experience or care to comment?

BT603
Bucket cylinder digging force
1936 (8610)
Dipperstick cylinder digging force
1171 (5209)

K008
Max. breakout force
Bucket
2200 (1000)
Arm
1010 (460)

Thanks,
Ryan

What RPM were you running the tractor with the BT603? On my BX23S you have to run the machine at 3200 rpm for maximum digging force, which I rarely do.

In my opinion you are asking the wrong questions. You dont decide on a Mini Ex vs a backhoe based on digging forces alone. You decide on one based on the application and tasks you need to accomplish.

For instance, if you need to travel across a 20 acre property 5 times a day to dig, the MiniEx is a bad choice. If you need the ability to move material behind the machine with each scoop, a backhoe is a bad choice.

What are you going to use it for?
