I haven't been able to get this tractor started after pulling it out of a field. Could this very obvious thing be the reason? Thanks for your help!
Looks like your stop knob is missing? If so, maybe your injection pump is not getting fuel due to the fuel is shut off. Any smoke from the exhaust when you crank it?

That knob has to be pushed all the way in, or your tractor will never start.
Looks like it is to me. Trace the cable / rod to the fuel pump to make sure it’s connected and working.
